My name is Melanie Brown, and welcome to my page! I am an oil painter specializing in landscape and wildlife paintings.
I reside in Pennsylvania with my husband and two sons. We enjoy taking family camping trips and being outdoors.
I have always enjoyed drawing and painting since a young age. By studying the techniques of old and current masters, I strive to produce high-quality works of art. Each piece is created using archival materials and artist's grade oil paint and mediums.
The world we live in is a fascinating place, and inspiration can lurk in the tiniest or grandest places. My goal is to share my appreciation of the subject, and leave the viewer with a sense of peace and escape from the mundane or rush of routine.
While a lot of my art comes from my own reference, I will sometimes purchase, or use various photos with permission. It simply isn't feasible for me to see everything this world has to offer. Through the talent and generosity of others, I am able to travel to places I haven't been to. They deserve a special thank you!
